Time for Action with ProGrass

Coming towards the end of Summer lawns will be feeling the effects from the increased activity and warmer dryer weather leaving them needing a ‘pick me up’ to ready them for Autumn/Winter and  the 2025 season.

Now is the time to put down a fertiliser that will not only green, thicken and strengthen the grass but will also help prevent the inevitable moss that will start to spore when the weather becomes cooler and the sun starts to fall creating shade.

It is also the ideal time to consider booking in some mechanical lawn work such as hollow tine aeration which will reduce the compaction of the underlying soil allowing the root zone of the grass to feed and breathe.  Also hugely beneficial is scarification which will remove thatch and moss to stop it out-competing your healthy grass and if done after the aeration will chop the extracted tines up creating a topsoil and nutrient dressing which gives your lawn a free extra feed.  Overseeding after scarification using our seed disc drilling machines will thicken the sward, cover any bare areas and also introduce young grass.  The above works are all an essential part of lawncare and will set up the lawn perfectly for next year.

It is not too late to get your drives and patios cleaned and refurbished as the cusp for sealing is normally mid-October weather permitting.  We are currently working flat out on this and the results and feedback from customers continues to be fantastic.

We have also added a Westermanns Moss Brush to our equipment which is the ideal machine to clean and remove moss, weeds and grime from drives and patios without pressure washing.  This is especially productive on tarmac, block paving and paths and with the slippery conditions on hard surfaces that Winter brings this will hugely improve the appearance and most importantly  your safety when walking on these.

With the increased rainfall that Autumn and Winter brings it is important to ensure your gutters are clear from debris so access is clear to prevent overflow which can damage your property.  We have added another SkyVac gutter cleaning system with camera to our equipment to keep up with the demand for this service.
