Season’s Greetings from the ProGrass and PowerPro Team
One thing is for sure: I won’t be remembering 2026 with any fondness, given the devastating effect the drought had on many of the lawns we look after. However, as always, our fantastic customers have been incredibly understanding and appreciative of our efforts to minimise the damage. Now that the much-needed rain has finally returned, lawn recovery is well underway. If you have any concerns about your lawn, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
One question we were frequently asked throughout the drought was: “Is this weather going to be the norm from now on?” I’m certainly not a climate change denier, but throughout my lifetime, we’ve experienced periods of dry, drought-like weather in spring and summer, alongside periods of exceptionally wet conditions. My personal view is that British weather has always been unpredictable, and we never quite know what’s coming next!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and readers of the local newspaper a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

As usual, winter is a busy time for us, with a range of services designed to keep our team working and help homeowners prepare their gardens and outdoor spaces for spring.

· Winter lawn treatments, including moss control. Winter conditions can encourage moss to thrive and compete with grass, making this an important time to protect your lawn.
· Winter lawn mowing using our professional Cobra mower, designed to cope with damp grass in suitable conditions. Keeping lawns appropriately maintained helps expose the underlying grass and soil to light and air, ready for spring growth.
